           AnnaPávlovna’spresentimentwasjustified,andallthatmorningajoyouslyfestivemoodreignedinthecity.Everyonebelievedthevictorytohavebeencomplete,andsomeevenspokeofNapoleon’shavingbeencaptured,ofhisdeposition,andofthechoiceofanewrulerforFrance.
