           Ahabandallhisboat’screwseemedasleepbuttheParsee;whocrouchinginthebow,satwatchingthesharks,thatspectrallyplayedroundthewhale,andtappedthelightcedarplankswiththeirtails.AsoundlikethemoaninginsquadronsoverAsphaltitesofunforgivenghostsofGomorrah,ranshudderingthroughtheair.
