           StepanArkadyevitchlikeddining,butstillbetterhelikedtogiveadinner,small,butverychoice,bothasregardsthefoodanddrinkandasregardstheselectionofguests.Heparticularlylikedtheprogramofthatday’sdinner.Therewouldbefreshperch,asparagus,andlapiècederesistancefirst-rate,butquiteplain,roastbeef,andwinestosuit:somuchfortheeatinganddrinking.
