           Stillmoredelightfulwerethemomentswhentheyreachedthestreamwheretherowsended,andtheoldmanrubbedhisscythewiththewet,thickgrass,rinseditsbladeinthefreshwaterofthestream,ladledoutalittleinatindipper,andofferedLevinadrink.

           “Whatdoyousaytomyhome-brew,eh?Good,eh?”saidhe,winking.

           ThelongerLevinmowed,theoftenerhefeltthemomentsofunconsciousnessinwhichitseemednothishandsthatswungthescythe,butthescythemowingofitself,abodyfulloflifeandconsciousnessofitsown,andasthoughbymagic,withoutthinkingofit,theworkturnedoutregularandwell-finishedofitself.Thesewerethemostblissfulmoments.
