WeallhavetotakeatestonthefirstdayatLeonardodaVinci,inordertobeplacedintheproperlevelofItalianclassforourabilities.WhenIhearthis,IimmediatelystarthopingIdon’tplaceintoaLevelOneclass,becausethatwouldbehumiliating,giventhatIalreadytookawholeentiresemesterofItalianatmyNightSchoolforDivorcedLadiesinNewYork,andthatIspentthesummermemorizingflashcards,andthatI’vealreadybeeninRomeaweek,andhavebeenpracticingthelanguageinperson,evenconversingwitholdgrandmothersaboutdivorce.Thethingis,Idon’tevenknowhowmanylevelsthisschoolhas,butassoonasIheardthewordlevel,IdecidedthatImusttestintoLevelTwo-atleast.
