           Shesaysthatpeopleuniversallytendtothinkthathappinessisastrokeofluck,somethingthatwillmaybedescenduponyoulikefineweatherifyou’refortunateenough.Butthat’snothowhappinessworks.Happinessistheconsequenceofpersonaleffort.Youfightforit,striveforit,insistuponit,andsometimeseventravelaroundtheworldlookingforit.Youhavetoparticipaterelentlesslyinthemanifestationsofyourownblessings.Andonceyouhaveachievedastateofhappiness,youmustneverbecomelaxaboutmaintainingit,youmustmakeamightyefforttokeepswimmingupwardintothathappinessforever,tostayafloatontopofit.Ifyoudon’t,youwillleakawayyourinnatecontentment.It’seasyenoughtopraywhenyou’reindistressbutcontinuingtoprayevenwhenyourcrisishaspassedislikeasealingprocess,helpingyoursoulholdtighttoitsgoodattainments.

           RecallingtheseteachingsasIridemybikesofreelyinthesunsetthroughBali,Ikeepmakingprayersthatarereallyvows,presentingmystateofharmonytoGodandsaying,"ThisiswhatIwouldliketoholdonto.Pleasehelpmememorizethisfeelingofcontentmentandhelpmealwayssupportit."I’mputtingthishappinessinabanksomewhere,notmerelyFDICprotectedbutguardedbymyfourspiritbrothers,heldthereasinsuranceagainstfuturetrialsinlife.ThisisapracticeI’vecometocall"DiligentJoy."AsIfocusonDiligentJoy,IalsokeeprememberingasimpleideamyfriendDarceytoldmeonce-thatallthesorrowandtroubleofthisworldiscausedbyunhappypeople.
