Yogaistheefforttoexperienceone’sdivinitypersonallyandthentoholdontothatexperienceforever.Yogaisaboutself-masteryandthededicatedefforttohaulyourattentionawayfromyourendlessbroodingoverthepastandyournonstopworryingaboutthefuturesothatyoucanseek,instead,aplaceofeternalpresencefromwhichyoumayregardyourselfandyoursurroundingswithpoise.Onlyfromthatpointofeven-mindednesswillthetruenatureoftheworld(andyourself)berevealedtoyou.TrueYogis,fromtheirseatofequipoise,seeallthisworldasanequalmanifestationofGod’screativeenergy-men,women,children,turnips,bedbugs,coral:it’sallGodindisguise.ButtheYogisbelieveahumanlifeisaveryspecialopportunity,becauseonlyinahumanformandonlywithahumanmindcanGod-realizationeveroccur.Theturnips,thebedbugs,thecoral-theynevergetachancetofindoutwhotheyreallyare.Butwedohavethatchance.
