           For,itwasnotthemonotonousdaysunchequeredbyvarietyanduncheeredbypleasantcompanionship,itwasnotthedarkdrearyeveningsorthelongsolitarynights,itwasnottheabsenceofeveryslightandeasypleasureforwhichyoungheartsbeathigh,ortheknowingnothingofchildhoodbutitsweaknessanditseasilywoundedspirit,thathadwrungsuchtearsfromNell.
