           AttheappointedtimeIreturnedtoMissHavisham’s,andmyhesitatingringatthegatebroughtoutEstella.Shelockeditafteradmittingme,asshehaddonebefore,andagainprecededmeintothedarkpassagewherehercandlestood.Shetooknonoticeofmeuntilshehadthecandleinherhand,whenshelookedoverhershoulder,superciliouslysaying,"Youaretocomethiswayto-day,"andtookmetoquiteanotherpartofthehouse.
