           Theyouthfulinfatuationofnineteenwouldnaturallyblindhimtoeverythingbutherbeautyandgoodnature;butthefoursucceedingyears—years,whichifrationallyspent,givesuchimprovementtotheunderstanding,musthaveopenedhiseyestoherdefectsofeducation,whilethesameperiodoftime,spentonhersideininferiorsocietyandmorefrivolouspursuits,hadperhapsrobbedherofthatsimplicitywhichmightoncehavegivenaninterestingcharactertoherbeauty.
