           ButwearesotakenupandoccupiedwiththegoodqualitiesofthissaintChristmas,thatwearekeepingMr.PickwickandhisfriendswaitinginthecoldontheoutsideoftheMuggletoncoach,whichtheyhavejustattained,wellwrappedupingreat–coats,shawls,andcomforters.Theportmanteausandcarpet–bagshavebeenstowedaway,andMr.Wellerandtheguardareendeavouringtoinsinuateintothefore-bootahugecod-fishseveralsizestoolargeforitwhichissnuglypackedup,inalongbrownbasket,withalayerofstrawoverthetop,andwhichhasbeenlefttothelast,inorderthathemayreposeinsafetyonthehalf-dozenbarrelsofrealnativeoysters,allthepropertyofMr.Pickwick,whichhavebeenarrangedinregularorderatthebottomofthereceptacle.
