TheelderMr.Weller,whostillcontinuedtomakevariousstrangeanduncouthattemptstoappearasleep,offerednotasinglewordduringtheseproceedings;butwhenStigginsstoppedforbreath,hedarteduponhim,andsnatchingthetumblerfromhishand,threwtheremainderoftherum-and-waterinhisface,andtheglassitselfintothegrate.Then,seizingthereverendgentlemanfirmlybythecollar,hesuddenlyfelltokickinghimmostfuriously,accompanyingeveryapplicationofhistop-boottoMr.Stiggins’sperson,withsundryviolentandincoherentanathemasuponhislimbs,eyes,andbody.
