           "Dearme,Peterkin!"repliedJack;"Ihadnoideayouweretakingthethingsomuchtoheart,elseIwouldhavegotyououtofthatdifficultylongago.Letmesee;"andJacklookeddownatapieceoftimber,onwhichhehadbeenlabouring,withapeculiargazeofabstractionwhichhealwaysassumedwhentryingtoinventordiscoveranything.
