           Wenowseatedourselvesuponarock,andbegantoexamineintoourpersonalproperty.Whenwereachedtheshoreafterbeingwrecked,mycompanionshadtakenoffpartoftheirclothesandspreadthemoutinthesuntodry;foralthoughthegalewasragingfiercely,therewasnotasinglecloudinthebrightsky.Theyhadalsostrippedoffmostpartofmywetclothesandspreadthemalsoontherocks.Havingresumedourgarments,wenowsearchedallourpocketswiththeutmostcare,andlaidtheircontentsoutonaflatstonebeforeus;andnowthatourmindswerefullyalivetoourcondition,itwaswithnolittleanxietythatweturnedourseveralpocketsinsideoutinorderthatnothingmightescapeus.Whenallwascollectedtogether,wefoundthatourworldlygoodsconsistedofthefollowingarticles:
