           ThesetokensoftheSerjeant’spresentimentsonthesubject,slightastheywere,werenotlostonMr.Pickwick.Hesettledthespectacles,throughwhichhehadattentivelyregardedsuchdemonstrationsofthebarrister’sfeelingsashehadpermittedhimselftoexhibit,morefirmlyonhisnose;andsaidwithgreatenergy,andinutterdisregardofallMr.
