           ‘Ah!’criedthevoice,asitsownerpushedhiswayamongthelastfive-and-twentyTurks,officers,cavaliers,andCharlestheSeconds,thatremainedbetweenhimandthetable,‘regularmangleBaker’spatentnotacreaseinmycoat,afterallthissqueezingmighthave"gotupmylinen"asIcamealongha!ha!notabadidea,thatqueerthingtohaveitmangledwhenit’suponone,thoughtryingprocessvery.’

           Withthesebrokenwords,ayoungmandressedasanavalofficermadehiswayuptothetable,andpresentedtotheastonishedPickwickianstheidenticalformandfeaturesofMr.AlfredJingle.TheoffenderhadbarelytimetotakeMrs.LeoHunter’sprofferedhand,whenhiseyesencounteredtheindignantorbsofMr.Pickwick.
