           Mr.Wellerdeliveredthisscientificopinionwithmanyconfirmatoryfrownsandnods;which,Mrs.Wellerremarking,andconcludingthattheyboresomedisparagingreferenceeithertoherselfortoMr.Stiggins,ortoboth,wasonthepointofbecominginfinitelyworse,whenMr.Stiggins,gettingonhislegsaswellashecould,proceededtodeliveranedifyingdiscourseforthebenefitofthecompany,butmoreespeciallyofMr.Samuel,whomheadjuredinmovingtermstobeuponhisguardinthatsinkofiniquityintowhichhewascast;toabstainfromallhypocrisyandprideofheart;andtotakeinallthingsexactpatternandcopybyhim(Stiggins),inwhichcasehemightcalculateonarriving,soonerorlateratthecomfortableconclusion,that,likehim,hewasamostestimableandblamelesscharacter,andthatallhisacquaintancesandfriendswerehopelesslyabandonedandprofligatewretches.Whichconsideration,hesaid,couldnotbutaffordhimtheliveliestsatisfaction.

           Hefurthermoreconjuredhimtoavoid,aboveallthings,theviceofintoxication,whichhelikeneduntothefilthyhabitsofswine,andtothosepoisonousandbalefuldrugswhichbeingchewedinthemouth,aresaidtofilchawaythememory.
