Mostofmyreadersareawarethatthesecondactof"Parisina"openswiththecelebratedandeffectiveduetinwhichParisina,whilesleeping,betraystoAzzothesecretofherloveforUgo.Theinjuredhusbandgoesthroughalltheemotionsofjealousy,untilconvictionseizesonhismind,andthen,inafrenzyofrageandindignation,heawakenshisguiltywifetotellherthatheknowsherguiltandtothreatenherwithhisvengeance.
