           Ashecrouched,rubbinghisfeet,heheardamotorcarontheroad.Ithadonchainsandonelinkofchainwasslappingand,ashewatched,itcameupthesnow-coveredroad,greenandbrownpainted,inbrokenpatchesofdaubedcolor,thewindowsbluedoversothatyoucouldnotseein,withonlyahalfcircleleftclearinthebluefortheoccupantstolookoutthrough.
