AndAndor,theLandofGift,NumenoroftheKings,ElennaoftheStarofEarendil,wasutterlydestroyed.Foritwasnightotheeastofthegreatrift,anditsfoundationswereoverturned,anditfellandwentdownintodarkness,andisnomore.AndthereisnotnowuponEarthanyplaceabidingwherethememoryofatimewithoutevilispreserved.ForIluvatarcastbacktheGreatSeaswestofMiddle-earth,andtheEmptyLandseastofit,andnewlandsandnewseasweremade;andtheworldwasdiminished,forValinorandEresseaweretakenfromitintotherealmofhiddenthings.
