ThenbehindlockeddoorsSauronspoketotheKing,andhelied,saying:’Itishewhosenameisnotnowspoken;fortheValarhavedeceivedyouconcerninghim,puttingforwardthenameofEru,aphantomdevisedinthefollyoftheirhearts,seekingtoenchainMeninservitudetothemselves.FortheyaretheoracleofthisEru,whichspeaksonlywhattheywill.Buthethatistheirmastershallyetprevail,andhewilldeliveryoufromthisphantom;andhisnameisMelkor,LordofAll,GiverofFreedom,andheshallmakeyoustrongerthanthey.’
