ThentheEdainsetsailuponthedeepwaters,followingtheStar;andtheValarlaidapeaceupontheseaformanydays,andsentsunlightandasailingwind,sothatthewatersglitteredbeforetheeyesoftheEdainlikeripplingglass,andthefoamflewlikesnowbeforethestemsoftheirships.ButsobrightwasRothinzilthatevenatmorningMencouldseeitglimmeringintheWest,andinthecloudlessnightitshonealone,fornootherstarcouldstandbesideit.AndsettingtheircoursetowardsittheEdaincameatlastoverleaguesofseaandsawafarthelandthatwaspreparedforthem,Andor,theLandofGift,shimmeringinagoldenhaze.Thentheywentupoutoftheseaandfoundacountryfairandfruitful,andtheywereglad.
