ThatvoicewasthevoiceofEonwe,heraldofManwe,andhecamefromValimar,andsummonedEarendiltocomebeforethePowersofArda.AndEarendilwentintoValinorandtothehallsofValimar,andneveragainsetfootuponthelandsofMen.ThentheValartookcounseltogether,andtheysummonedUlmofromthedeepsofthesea;andEarendilstoodbeforetheirfaces,anddeliveredtheerrandoftheTwoKindreds.PardonheaskedfortheNoldorandpityfortheirgreatsorrows,andmercyuponMenandElvesandsuccourintheirneed.Andhisprayerwasgranted.
