           "Ihavenoticedit,Captain,"Ireplied;"andifitgetsmuchhotterwecannotbearit."

           "Oh,sir,itwillnotgetbetterifwedonotwishit."

           "Youcanreduceitasyouplease,then?"

           "No;butIcangofartherfromthestovewhichproducesit."

           "Itisoutward,then!"

           "Certainly;wearefloatinginacurrentofboilingwater."

           "Isitpossible!"Iexclaimed.
