           Albertexpectedtohavesomethingnewthistimetoshowtothetraveller,but,tohisgreatsurprise,thelatter,withoutseekingforthesignatures,manyofwhich,indeed,wereonlyinitials,namedinstantlytheauthorofeverypictureinsuchamannerthatitwaseasytoseethateachnamewasnotonlyknowntohim,butthateachstyleassociatedwithithadbeenappreciatedandstudiedbyhim.
