NowaforetimeintheisleofNumenortheweatherwaseverapttotheneedsandlikingofMen:rainindueseasonandeverinmeasure;andsunshine,nowwarmer,nowcooler,andwindsfromthesea.Andwhenthewindwasinthewest,itseemedtomanythatitwasfilledwithafragrance,fleetingbutsweet,heart-stirring,asofflowersthatbloomforeverinundyingmeadsandhavenonamesonmortalshores.
