Andmensawhissailscomingupoutofthesunset,dyedaswithscarletandgleamingwithredandgold,andfearfelluponthedwellersbythecoasts,andtheyfledfaraway.ButthefleetcameatlasttothatplacethatwascalledUmbar,wherewasthemightyhavenoftheNumenoreansthatnohandhadwrought.EmptyandsilentwereallthelandsaboutwhentheKingoftheSeamarcheduponMiddle-earth.Forsevendayshejourneyedwithbannerandtrumpet,andhecametoahill,andhewentup,andhesettherehispavilionandhisthrone;andhesathimdowninthemidstoftheland,andthetentsofhishostwererangedallabouthim,blue,golden,andwhite,asafieldoftallflowers.
Thenhesentforthheralds,andhecommandedSaurontocomebeforehimandsweartohimfealty.
