AndtheNumenoreansanswered:’WhyshouldwenotenvytheValar,oreventheleastoftheDeathless?Forofusisrequiredablindtrust,andahopewithoutassurance,knowingnotwhatliesbeforeusinalittlewhile.AndyetwealsolovetheEarthandwouldnotloseit.’
