ButtheElveswereatfirstunwillingtohearkentothesummons,fortheyhadasyetseentheValaronlyintheirwrathastheywenttowar,saveOromealone;andtheywerefilledwithdread.ThereforeOromewassentagaintothem,andhechosefromamongthemambassadorswhoshouldgotoValinorandspeakfortheirpeople;andthesewereIngwe,FinweandElwe,whoafterwardswerekings.
