ForheheldbythelawofMen,deemingitperiloustosetatnaughtthewillofthefather,saveatthelastneed;andisseemedalsotohimunfitthatonesoroyalandfairasLuthienshouldlivealwaysinthewoods,astherudehuntersamongMen,withouthomeorhonourorthefairthingswhicharethedelightofthequeensoftheEldalie.Thereforeafterawhilehepersuadedher,andtheirfootstepsforsookthehouselesslands;andhepassedintoDoriath,leadingLuthienhome.Sotheirdoomwilledit.
