ItistoldthatatthistimetheSwarthyMencamefirstintoBeleriand.SomewerealreadysecretlyunderthedominionofMorgoth,andcameathiscall;butnotall,fortherumourofBeleriand,ofitslandsandwaters,ofitswarsandriches,wentnowfarandwide,andthewanderingfeetofMenwereeversetwestwardinthosedays.
