ThusthesonsofFeanorunderMaedhroswerethelordsofEastBeleriand,buttheirpeoplewereinthattimemostlyinthenorthoftheland,andsouthwardtheyrodeonlytohuntinthegreenwoods.ButthereAmrodandAmrashadtheirabode,andtheycameseldomnorthwardwhiletheSiegelasted;andtherealsootheroftheElf-lordswouldrideattimes,evenfromafar,forthelandwaswildbutveryfair.OftheseFin-rodFelagundcamemostoften,forhehadgreatloveofwanderingandhecameevenintoOssiriand,andwonthefriendshipoftheGreen-elves.ButnoneoftheNoldorwenteveroverEredLindon,whiletheirrealmlasted;andlittlenewsandlatecameintoBeleriandofwhatpassedintheregionsoftheEast.
