Thequestiontobedebatedwas,"whethertheYahoosshouldbeexterminatedfromthefaceoftheearth?"Oneofthemembersfortheaffirmativeofferedseveralargumentsofgreatstrengthandweight,alleging,"thatastheYahooswerethemostfilthy,noisome,anddeformedanimalswhichnatureeverproduced,sotheywerethemostrestiveandindocible,mischievousandmalicious;theywouldprivatelysucktheteatsoftheHouyhnhnms’cows,killanddevourtheircats,trampledowntheiroatsandgrass,iftheywerenotcontinuallywatched,andcommitathousandotherextravagancies."
