GreatwasthelamentationinHithlumwhenthefallofFingolfinbecameknown,andFingoninsorrowtookthelordshipofthehouseofFingolfinandthekingdomoftheNoldor;buthisyoungsonEreinion(whowasafternamedGil-galad)hesenttotheHavens.
NowMorgoth’spowerovershadowedtheNorthlands;butBarahirwouldnotfleefromDorthonion,andremainedcontestingthelandfootbyfootwithhisenemies.
