YetitissaidthatMaeglinlovedhismotherbetter,andifEolwereabroadhewouldsitlongbesideherandlistentoallthatshecouldtellhimofherkinandtheirdeedsinEldamar,andofthemightandvalouroftheprincesoftheHouseofFingolfin.Allthesethingshelaidtoheart,butmostofallthatwhichheheardofTurgon,andthathehadnoheir;forElenwehiswifeperishedinthecrossingoftheHelcaraxe,andhisdaughterIdrilCelebrindalwashisonlychild.
