           Mostofthemsleptoutsideinnormaltimes,sopackingallthosebodiesintotheHomesteadmadeforatightfit.TheKeepershadorganizedanddistributedtheGladersthroughouttherooms,alongwithblanketsandpillows.Despitethenumberofpeopleandthechaosofsuchachange,adisturbingsilencehungovertheactivities,asifnoonewantedtodrawattentiontothemselves.

           Wheneveryonewassettled,ThomasfoundhimselfupstairswithNewt,AlbyandMinho,andtheywerefinallyabletofinishtheirdiscussionfromearlierinthecourtyard.AlbyandNewtsatontheonlybedintheroomwhileThomasandMinhosatnexttotheminchairs.Theonlyotherfurniturewasacrookedwoodendresserandasmalltable,ontopofwhichrestedalampprovidingwhatlighttheyhad.Thegraydarknessseemedtopressonthewindowfromoutside,withpromisesofbadthingstocome.
