           Rostóv,withhiskeensportsman’seye,wasoneofthefirsttocatchsightoftheseblueFrenchdragoonspursuingourUhlans.NearerandnearerindisorderlycrowdscametheUhlansandtheFrenchdragoonspursuingthem.Hecouldalreadyseehowthesemen,wholookedsosmallatthefootofthehill,jostledandovertookoneanother,wavingtheirarmsandtheirsabersintheair.
