Iknownotwhetheritmaybeworthobserving,thattheHouyhnhnmshavenowordintheirlanguagetoexpressanythingthatisevil,exceptwhattheyborrowfromthedeformitiesorillqualitiesoftheYahoos.Thustheydenotethefollyofaservant,anomissionofachild,astonethatcutstheirfeet,acontinuanceoffoulorunseasonableweather,andthelike,byaddingtoeachtheepithetofYahoo.Forinstance,hhnmYahoo;whnaholmYahoo,ynlhmndwihlmaYahoo,andanill-contrivedhouseynholmhnmrohlnwYahoo.
