ThenextdayIsailedtoanotherisland,andthencetoathirdandfourth,sometimesusingmysail,andsometimesmypaddles.But,nottotroublethereaderwithaparticularaccountofmydistresses,letitsuffice,thatonthefifthdayIarrivedatthelastislandinmysight,whichlaysouth-south-easttotheformer.
ThisislandwasatagreaterdistancethanIexpected,andIdidnotreachitinlessthanfivehours.Iencompasseditalmostround,beforeIcouldfindaconvenientplacetolandin;whichwasasmallcreek,aboutthreetimesthewidenessofmycanoe.Ifoundtheislandtobeallrocky,onlyalittleintermingledwithtuftsofgrass,andsweet-smellingherbs.
