Theforestshavedeparted,butsomeoldcustomsoftheirshadesremain.Many,however,lingeronlyinametamorphosedordisguisedform.TheMay-Daydance,forinstance,wastobediscernedontheafternoonundernotice,intheguiseoftheclubrevel,or“club-walking,”asitwastherecalled.
