TiredofwalkinginonHarry,Hermione,andRonallovertheschool.ProfessorMcGonagallhadgiventhempermissiontousetheemptyTransfigurationclassroomatlunchtimes.HarryhadsoonmasteredtheImpedimentCurse,aspelltoslowdownandobstructattackers;theReductorCurse,whichwouldenablehimtoblastsolidobjectsoutofhisway;andtheFour-PointSpell,ausefuldiscoveryofHermione’sthatwouldmakehiswandpointduenorth,thereforeenablinghimtocheckwhetherhewasgoingintherightdirectionwithinthemaze.HewasstillhavingtroublewiththeShieldCharm,though.Thiswassupposedtocastatemporary,invisiblewallaroundhimselfthatdeflectedminorcurses;Hermionemanagedtoshatteritwithawell-placedJelly-LegsJinx,andHarrywobbledaroundtheroomfortenminutesafterwardbeforeshehadlookedupthecounter-jinx.
