           “No,Mr.Clay,butthere’safellowinyourbrick-yardfloggingtwohorsestodeath.Itoldhimtostop,andhewouldn’t;IsaidI’dhelphimtolightenthecart,andhewouldn’t;soIhavecometotellyou.Pray,sir,go.”Joe’svoiceshookwithexcitement.
