           WasIconvincedofthetruthofwhatIhadheard?HadInotbentundertheironruleoftheProfessorLiedenbrock?WasItobelievehiminearnestinhisintentiontopenetratetothecentreofthismassiveglobe?HadIbeenlisteningtothemadspeculationsofalunatic,ortothescientificconclusionsofaloftygenius?Wheredidtruthstop?Wherediderrorbegin?

           Iwasalladriftamongstathousandcontradictoryhypotheses,butIcouldnotlayholdofone.
