           Therearethosewhosufferpsychologicallyandemotionallyfromneurologicaland/orgeneticdeficiencies.Butthischangesnothing.Sure,theyinheritedabadhandandarenottoblame.Nomorethantheshortguywantingtogetadateistoblameforbeingshort.Orthepersonwhogotrobbedistoblameforbeingrobbed.Butit’sstilltheirresponsibility.Whethertheychoosetoseekpsychiatrictreatment,undergotherapy,ordonothing,thechoiceisultimatelytheirstomake.Therearethosewhosufferthroughbadchildhoods.Therearethosewhoareabusedandviolatedandscrewedover,physically,emotionally,financially.Theyarenottoblamefortheirproblemsandtheirhindrances,buttheyarestillresponsible—alwaysresponsible—tomoveondespitetheirproblemsandtomakethebestchoicestheycan,giventheircircumstances.

           Andlet’sbehonesthere.Ifyouweretoaddupallofthepeoplewhohavesomepsychiatricdisorder,strugglewithdepressionorsuicidalthoughts,havebeensubjectedtoneglectorabuse,havedealtwithtragedyorthedeathofalovedone,andhavesurvivedserioushealthissues,accidents,ortrauma—ifyouweretoroundupallofthosepeopleandputthemintheroom,well,you’dprobablyhavetoroundupeveryone,becausenobodymakesitthroughlifewithoutcollectingafewscarsonthewayout.
