           Thetreatmentofanypatientwiththediagnosisofmultiplepersonalityshouldbeundertakenonlybyamentalhealthprofessional,preferablyapsychiatristwhomeetsthefollowingcriteria:

           One—He(orshe)mustacceptthecondition.Itshouldnotbeundertakenbysomeonewho"doesn’tbelieve"inthisphenomenon.

           Two—Ifthepsychiatristisnotexperiencedbutiswillingtoundertakesuchtreatmentandaccepttheconditions,heshouldbesupervisedby,oratleasthaveongoingconsultationwith,acolleaguewhohassuchexperienceandexpertise.
