Sherolledoverinbed,putapillowoverherheadtoblockoutthelightfromunderthecorridordoorandbegantothinkhowyoucoulduseabishopandarooktogethertomakeasuddencheckontheking.Ifyoumovedthebishop,thekingwouldbeincheck,andthebishopwouldbefreetodowhateveritwantedtoonthenextmove—eventakethequeen.Shelaythereforquiteawhile,thinkingexcitedlyofthispowerfulattack.ThenshetookthepillowoffandrolledoveronherbackandmadethechessboardontheceilingandplayedoverallhergameswithMr.Shaibel,oneatatime.Shesawtwoplaceswhereshemighthavecreatedtherook-bishopsituationshehadjustinvented.Inoneofthemshecouldhaveforceditbyadoublethreat,andintheothershecouldprobablyhavesneakeditin.Shereplayedthosetwogamesinhermindwiththenewmoves,andwonthemboth.Shesmiledhappilytoherselfandfellasleep.
