ThemonkeywasinstantlytransformedintotheGiant,andtheGiantwassobigthatashestoodonthegroundhisheadwashigherthanthetreesoftheforest.ThemonkeysraisedagreatchatterbutdidnotseemtounderstandthattheGiantwasoneofthemselves.
"Good!"criedtheNome."Hurry,Kiki,andtransformtheothers."
SoKikirushedbacktothetreeandputtinghisfacetothehollow,whispered:
"Iwantthenextmonkeytobejustlikethefirst—Pyrzqxgl!"
AgaintheWizardFoxheardtheMagicWord,andjusthowitwaspronounced.Buthesatstillinthehollowandwaitedtohearitagain,soitwouldbeimpressedonhismindandhewouldnotforgetit.
KikikeptrunningtotheedgeoftheforestandbacktothehollowtreeagainuntilhehadwhisperedtheMagicWordsixtimesandsixmonkeyshadbeenchangedtosixgreatGiants.ThentheWizarddecidedhewouldmakeanexperimentandusetheMagicWordhimself.So,whileKikiwasrunningbacktotheNome,theFoxstuckhisheadoutofthehollowandsaidsoftly:"Iwantthatcreaturewhoisrunningtobecomeahickory-nut—Pyrzqxgl!"
InstantlytheLi-Mon-EagformofKikiArutheHyupdisappearedandasmallhickory-nutrolleduponthegroundamomentandthenlaystill.
TheWizardwasdelighted,andleapedfromthehollowjustasRuggedolookedaroundtoseewhathadbecomeofKiki.TheNomesawtheFoxbutnoKiki,sohehastilyrosetohisfeet.TheWizarddidnotknowhowpowerfulthequeerbeastmightbe,soheresolvedtotakenochances.
"Iwantthiscreaturetobecomeawalnut—Pyrzqxgl!"hesaidaloud.
