August24.—SimplytopleaseLupin,andmakethingscheerfulforhim,asheisalittledown,CarrieinvitedMrs.JamestocomeupfromSuttonandspendtwoorthreedayswithus.WehavenotsaidawordtoLupin,butmeantokeepitasasurprise.
