           Slowly,slowly,mythoughtsstartedtobreakpastthatbrickwallofpain.Toplan.ForIhadnochoicesnowbutone:togotothemirroredroomanddie.Ihadnoguarantees,nothingtogivetokeepmymotheralive.IcouldonlyhopethatJameswouldbesatisfiedwithwinningthegame,thatbeatingEdwardwouldbeenough.Despairgrippedme;therewasnowaytobargain,nothingIcouldofferorwithholdthatcouldinfluencehim.ButIstillhadnochoice.Ihadtotry.

           IpushedtheterrorbackaswellasIcould.Mydecisionwasmade.Itdidnogoodtowastetimeagonizingovertheoutcome.Ihadtothinkclearly,becauseAliceandJasperwerewaitingforme,andevadingthemwasabsolutelyessential,andabsolutelyimpossible.
