Hefrowned,justabit,asifhedidn’tunderstandwhatImeant,asifhewantedanexplanationbutdidn’tknowhowtoaskforit.Then,givingitup,hesmiledwrylyfromthecornerofhismouth.
"Staythererightinfrontofme,"Ishouted."I’msickandtiredofyourspyingonmefromdoorwaysanddark,placeswhereIcan’tcatchupwithyou."
Hestared.

HourslaterIfoundmyselfinfrontoftheapartmenthouse,andmademywayupstairsandthroughthedimlylithallway.PassingFay’sroom,Icouldseetherewasalighton,andIstartedtowardherdoor.
